I now live exactly where this tornado touched down. I was 3 km from where it was. I was 6 years old. I remember hiding under a mattress in the basement! Terrified

We met the Farmer who 1st noticed the tornado at his garage sale in Leduc. He took pictures of it as it was forming, it was incredible to see. The irony of it was the garage sale was on the anniversary date - July 31, and we happen to ask him where it started, he said "Right here".

I was hunkered down at Hill Security Van Lines. 17 st. and Sherwood Park Freeway. Just across the street from Byers Transport. What a day. Watching this video has given me goose bumps.

I remember that day well😢I was in Millwoods, heading home. Heard the Air Raid sirens going off😳😵‍💫 Found shelter, at the mall, right by my house. I wasn’t in the tornadoes path, but I could see it off in the distance…and watched all the vehicles, out in the parking lot…promptly, get dented, and their windows get caved in…by golf ball sized hail. This was the first time, that I’ve ever heard, or seen anything about tornadoes, in Alberta. There’s been quite a few since then, but nothing comparable, to that day❤️🇨🇦

I experienced this when I was a kid, I remember the hail stones as big as softballs, and the day turned to night in an instant, and it was a Friday, that's why we call it black friday, it was an F4 and destroyed the Sherwood trailer park park area, I was about 7 or 8 years old when this happened. I literally seen this with my own eyes, it was scary.

Im sorry to those somehow or another were affected by this tornado 🌪️. It's been 36 year's, but the pain never subsides. I remember 1987, I remember great Britain had a horrible wind and rain storm that October 1987, and I lived in Southern California at that time, Ontario CALIFORNIA, to you all in Canada there is an Ontario CALIFORNIA, I felt a major quake here later that year on 10/1/87, 8 people died in that quake it was called the Whittier narrows quake, so I know it was a year of tragic natural disasters. To Edmonton I'm sorry.
