An extremely photogenic tornado on Canada Day near Didsbury, Alberta. Storm Chaser Aaron Jayjack tracked down one of the most incredible tornadoes in Canadian history. This was the strongest tornado in Alberta since the 1987 Black Friday Edmonton tornado. No humans were injured in killed.

That was some of the best tornado footage I've ever seen. So sorry for the people who lost their homes and farms. I hope there were no injuries.

I'm a weather forecaster who used to work on the Alberta Hail Suppression Project. It's hard for me to express how astoundingly incredible that tornado is for Alberta. 1-2 km wide and easily will be rated an EF-4 with the reports of five houses completely destroyed. Fortunately it looks like while some people were injured, no deaths of people occurred.

I really hope everyone was okay, but that was some of the most beautiful footage of a tornado that I've ever seen

As an Oklahoman who has seen my fair share of tornadoes this is definitely the cleanest footage I’ve ever seen, at least from a ground perspective. Normally they stay rainwrapped or it’s too dark outside to get a good shot, but this was crystal clear, and really puts into perspective how massive and chaotic these things are.

This formed right over our farm just south of Didsbury. We watched the funnel take shape, and the rear flank downdrafts start spiralling at the ground, and initial touchdown. It was tossing sheds at RR22 and by RR20 it had fully touched down.

Where you see the debris cloud forming in the early part of the video is the tornado hitting our friends place, the big nasty bit is hitting a well known local farm family. Probably their cattle you are hearing.

Powerful, frightening tornado in the farmland of Alberta. Thank you being there and capturing this monster.

I’ve lived my life in tornado alley in the US. This is probably the most impressive tornado footage I’ve ever seen

Best storm video I've seen, thank you. Praying for all affected by this storm.

Some of the best footage I've seen. Not because it's the biggest or longest but because it's so educational. In Australia we don't have many tornadoes, but this shows the initial funnel cloud, the rotation, the debris and the devastation left behind. So sorry for the people impacted. With that clear sky and a tornado during daylight hours, it really highlights how a tornado can be so narrowly destructive. BTW your footage was on news in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Love your passion when it comes to storm chasing!! Stay safe brother. I hope those families involved in this tornado were able to seek proper shelter and are ok.

This is probably the cleanest footage of a tornado I've ever seen. Not just because you were so close, but that was one of the clearest and brightest skies I've seen near a violent tornado. It practically almost formed in direct sunlight. Guess I could also say it's one of the most violent tornadoes from an LP supercell I've seen.

I live in Calgary, about 50km away from the tornado, and I dont remember any sort of storm that day, in fact I recall it being rather nice out. As you can see in the video, there is blue sky all around. It just shows you dont need some cloudy, dark skies day for a tornado. They are very unpredictable.

Absolutely amazing, mesmerizing, and tertifying. I feel for the people and their animals that were hit directly, and hope they survived. Some of the best tornado footage I have ever seen, but sad to see such destruction. ❤

I live in north central Texas and I chased for 20 years. That tornado was massive. What was worse was the forward motion was very slow. Theres not a good scenario for homes getting hit. The better of the 2 evils is a fast moving tornado.
