2. Fund GTRE to make Kaveri & Kaveri 2.0
3. Make a fighter jet using two kaveri engines, so that serial production can start in India of indigenous jet engines..
4. Pay our scientists good salary and give promotions for their work

India should start using its Kaveri engine on one squadron of Tejas without worrying about foreign certification. Invest in Kaveri research with multi-year plan and it will get better. Who knows what new inventions will yield. Do it

We need to invest in our own projects because no one will give you full technology because after that we will have technology and we will not import engines from them and even if they give 💯% TOT then they will charge too much money

You are absolutely correct. AN-32 Upgrade has undergone the way said. Only 40 ac were to modify in Kiev and by that time 100% TOT n spares and upgrading benches were to be placed in Kanpur. It never happened if particular bolt was supplied then it Nut was not. If Rivets supplied then Riveting machine was not n so was with spares however there were vested interest on our side too who wanted to coerce GOI to get rest of 60/70 acs also upgraded in Ukrain. But Modi didn't fall to authorities howlings n panic they created n now C 295 is coming. You are 100% correct.

Well said, “Extracting & using adv. technology is an art”. Extending to your point, we should identify a list of generic competencies essential for an advanced engine development, from Adv Alloy devlpmnt, ceramics to production tech & train our people to work with them. Building such a tech foundation will allow us to do further research & collaborate with the countries with adv tech. That’s the only way to ensure we don’t fall behind the curve in the future & need to ask for yet another tech transfer.

I think India needs to change a little of its attitude . We are not investing in developing technology as we are risk averse and expecting to be handed new technology without delays. New technology needs time and skill and also lots of failed attempts, so how we put a clause of no escalation in time and money for new development. Had we been little risk takers our own institutions and private players too can develop it.
