Review: MeE Wifi Surveillance Robot (YZ Robot)

Показать описание
This Wifi robot can move around your home and transmit images to your app wherever you are. There is two-way audio and obstacle detection built in, as well as a smart charging dock which the robot can return to automatically.

The app can be downloaded for Android or Apple (both phones and tablets).

Something I didn't mention here but should have: I had problems setting up the robot using my Samsung Galaxy S6 phone. I used an iPad instead, and could have also used another Android tablet. Have a couple of devices handy in case one does not work. After setup however the robot can be controlled from all our devices, including my S6.

Good Review. From the technical point of view I would only add a few things. The SoC (System on Chip) is a Fullhan FH8810 with an H42 sensor, but I cannot get more info about the board. For the communication aspect that you mention it uses an Ichano sdk for video streaming (push video) [like the AtHome solutions] in order to be able to avoid the firewall/router barriers (what it could become a security risk but it's becoming the current standard of the the so called P2P webcams). It also tries to open an uPnP port on your router and besides has some ports for telnet, FTP and other unknown services. What is still also a mystery for me is what can be done through the USB provided. It's a pity to say that is has probably an standard RTSP service working available at port 8554 (for standard video streaming) but there is no information at all of how it could be accessed. I hope that with the help of guys like you this "mysteries" could soon be revealed. Thank your for your work.

Nice review! Were you able to add an SD card? Did you attempt to connect to its computer via USB?
