I was reading Band of Brothers, and this vid brought one part to my mind. During the Battle of the Bulge, Shifty Powers is on watch, and something odd catches his eye. Fun facts about two great men:

The French painter Lucien-Victor Guirand de Scévola is one whom gave us the famous camouflage patterns and schemes we still use on military uniforms today. But it was primarily ment for disguise artillery pieces and military vehicles back then.

Solomon J Solomon was also the artist whom was tasked with inventing a camouflage for the British Mark 1 Tank. But after a testrun in mud, simulating the western front, did he decide that Tank camouflage was useless.
