LEC 2024 | Format Explainer

January 13th at 17:00 CET the LEC returns!

2023 saw huge changes to our format, now in 2024 we are making some adjustments to make it even better!

Let's be real, the best thing here is the 17:00 start. It always felt like LEC started an hour too late. Commuting on public transport, or just got home but it's not time for dinner yet? Boom you can actually catch the first game of LEC in that time now.

It's still a bit unclear (lots of info), but I'm sure they'll explain it 100 more times which is always good and will eventually clear up any questions left.
The break between the splits and the earlier start are very welcome too.

Really like how the studio implemented a new way and recognized the critque people made. now it seems it is more fair for teams that perform better when it comes closer to worlds.
Taking back the 2023 season we really had some kind of a mismatch. We had an up and down with teams like bds and Sk who performed really good early in the season. Then in Summer TH and XL made a comeback and it was also really hard for them to join Worlds just cause MAD won spring split. If i understand correctly this could not happen this year. Really like the adjustmend

Just make sure the entire season finals is in a stadium, the number one issue i had with last split is that the entire year builds up to season finals and then its just a couple of games in the studio followed by 3 series in a stadium like any normal split was previously.
Make season finals worth the hype, like you guys say, season finals is the best of the best that lec has to offer, its not that many series, play all of them in the stadium
