Gallium - Where the heck do you buy it?

I finally got some Gallium after many requests from viewers. I wanted to share my experience in my purchase from GalliumSource. It couldn't have been smoother. Not only do they accept credit cards, but also Paypal, which always makes buying stuff online easier for me.
I received the package in just a few days. The packaging was professional and secure. I couldn't be more pleased with the purchase. I am pretty picky about stuff like this and if the purchase wasn't good, I'd never disclose where I got it. (ie. a Vat.19 purchase)

I will be doing some demonstrations with Gallium in the near future.

Check out GalliumSource for more details:

Sweet! glad you made a vid too. Today was an amazing day for new videos from firearms channels.... Now I'm sitting here sad... Lonely and crying that we aren't a part of the "youtube channel" dinner at shot show.

Excellent caution against the use of glass containers when storing Gallium. Especially since many of us have a lot of glass in our experiment equipment.

Alright!!! I've wanted some gallium since high school so I'm glad you found a reliable sight that has it.

With the music this seems like a scene from a science fiction movie, a protagonist holding a vile of a mythical valuable substance which could save humanity

Nice that you give credit to all sources, even the music

I miss Nurdrage videos. Maybe someday a new video will pop up in the subscription feed.

Gallium would probably melt if shot. The extreme heat + high pressure would most likely deform the bullet and most likely turn into little pellets.Keep in mind, Gallium melts in a persons hand

very interesting metal!  are there any uses for it in manufacturing or is it just unique without any real commercial use?

Nice video Geoff/Jeff (correct me if they are wrong).
Just wanted to ask, is that stuff safe to handle?
Anyway. I can't wait to see videos of you using this stuff.

How dangerous is Gallium to handle bare-handed? I've seen some people handle it bare-handed (like you did at the end of the video), but I've heard other sources say you should only handle it with gloves on.

Gallium has to be packaged like that if it goes on aircraft, it is subject to 49 CFR 173.162 - GALLIUM. legal requirements for packaging.
Many aircraft are made of aluminium.. which gallium would react with and weaken substantially.. it could potentially bring down a plane if it got onto control linkages etc.

This stuff is cool because it isn't really harmful and a cool material to mess with if you get board at work or something.

Idea for a video. Add a little gallium + aluminium + water inside a balloon. Lets see how much hydrogen is produced. Then add fire. It should make for a nice ball of fire.

Any plans to get some galinstan?  I believe galinstan actually has a lower melting point than mercury.
