Painted a handful of doors black with alkyd without sanding or priming. Waste of time and money. Don't skip the prep y'all

What type of paint is good to use? Oil based?

Should have used a proper sealer primer on the stained door after sanding. Also better off using 2 lighter finish coats instead of 1 heavy coat. Big mistakes!

You should ALWAYS paint all six sides of every door.
