TILE PAINT UPDATE | FIVE Years Later...How Does It Look Now and FAQs

Hi guys! It's been FIVE years since I first painted my laundry and bathroom tiles, so I figured it was time for an update. I've also answered some of the most frequently asked questions that come up in the comments of my previous videos.

I used Rust-Oleum in the laundry and White Knight in the bathroom (links below). I recommend you watch this video in conjunction with my other two tile paint videos, as I go into more depth about the process, to get a full picture of my experience.

I do recommend speaking to your local hardware or paint store about which product would be right for you before purchasing. Like I said in the video, I first painted these rooms five years ago, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the products and technologies have changed since then!

I painted my bathroom floors years ago, they are still great. I used chalk paint, and then varnished them. Perfect!

It’s very valuable to see a 5 year update! It’s nice you took time to do. I think it held up really well! I’m planning to paint small areas of outdoor terracotta tiles - outside window sills (??) and this gives me great indication that this project can be successful although the paint will be exposed to the elements but is it that much different from painting shower walls? - probably not 🙂

Wow, I’m surprised how well the paint held up on the floor. I’ve always assumed that painting floors was a bad idea because of wear and tear. Thanks for the updates.

Why not save a little jar of extra paint and just touch up those spots once in a while? Matbe using a Q-tip or a tiny brush? It wouldn't take more than a few minutes per year. Maybe not even that.

Great video, it's really good to see how it's stood up over 5 years and with kids and pets in the home too. I'm thinking of painting the kitchen splashback since tiles are in great condition, just want to get rid of the dated colour

This was great--can you do some patchwork to address the chips? And why do you want to swap out the tiles now? Isn't that really expensive?
