Показать описание
Darrell Maloney (aka @BrokenNerd) checks in from his home workshop and studio to share some of his favorite propmaking tools from this past year, starting with the massive Peopoly Phenom L mSLA 3D printer. Darrell has recommendations for resin to use to get started with mSLA printing, an airbrush for finishing work, and paint for chrome finishes. Plus, this is also the year he dives into laser cutting for his projects with a Glowforge Pro!

wow wow WOW WOW - the example projects Darrell put next to the items for the panning shots are BLOWING MY MIND! I've never SEEN 3D printing that detailed, that big, that smooth?? Maybe the other makers I've seen are just using smaller printers, but I am just SO impressed, my jaw is on the floor! Those giant weapons with the TINY ENGRAVINGS??? SO PRETTY

I liked getting the closeups of the products, but having seen the Favorite Things videos from other Tested folks, I would like to have seen more of Darrell!

Are the panning shots jittery or is it just me?

Bro, hot video tip, you're panning shots are too fast. They cross the threshold from making static item shots interesting to super annoying to the eyes because it triggers tracking.

good video however i found that darrels voice was quite quiet in comparison to the music or background, but mAY BE my setup, heyoo though

Hot Toys released the Mark II a couple times. The diecast was released not too long ago, but probably sold out in retail.

Darrell is criminally underused on this channel. That's not to sound mean, and perhaps there are reasons behind the scenes for his absence, but honestly, his videos are my favourite next to Adam's. They exude passion and and always fun to watch. If at all possible Tested, I'd love to see more of this man in 2021!
