Corporal's tip of the day, Don't drink the yellow snow. Have a great day everyone, from Tampa Florida...

Shawn how about letting that boiled water cool on the snow in the middle of the shemag? You can hang the cup from the tripod using your toggle. It will also melt the snow faster and produce more water faster.

Very nice trick!
You should put hot cup in the snow inside the shemag. That way all the heat from the cup would go directly back into making more water (melting snow in shemag). More conservation of energy.

I remember back in the late-1960s and early-1970s using cotton feed-bags. Back in the day we only boiled snow water with use in coffee or hot chocolate. Remember the days we would drink from a garden hose or straight from a mountain spring. Old dogs can learn from CCs videos.

I have a 7 year old son who loves to watch your videos with me. I’m trying to teach him some of the basics I’ve learned over the years.

We have just watched "The Universal Water Machine" in action. The same simple gear will work for my gang here in the tropics where we never see snow.

A good idea would be to put the hot cup into the snow that's in the shemagh and it will help quicken the melting process while it cools. 😉

We had a camp one winter for 2 weeks FTO.
We made 2 liters of water per person per day for drinking/cooking. It took us 4 hours to make 10 liters. Inside the cook tent. Snow is easier to carry if made into snowballs.
My favorite line from a movie.
"Perhaps you can explain to the Colonel why his coffee will taste better when the latrines are at the bottom of the hill."

Outstanding! I have never seen this done before. One idea I had while watching your video was once your cup is boiled and you want to cool it off, hollow out a spot in the snow in the tripod and place it in there/ It will cool down and it will melt the snow quicker below that is being collected.

Remember, don’t make snow angels at dog parks. Great video Corporal!

I love the simplicity of Corporals Corner water machine! Things like this is what I love, simple survival made easier, but not using technology.

Brilliant! High speed, low drag. Smarter, not harder 🧠

Thank you 😊 Semper Fi !

Good ideas! At 8:53 it occurred to me that you could have set the hot cup of water into the snow in the Shemagh, saving steps and melting the snow in the Shemagh faster at the same time,

Perhaps place the container with the purified water back into the snow being processed. Aid in melting the snow and cool off the clean water at the same time.

Excellent, video Corporal!
Had a thought to cool off the boiled water, and speed up the processing of the snow being processed could set the pot central into the shemagh and melt the snow, expediting the snow to water ratio into the next container.

Dehydration occurs faster in the cold weather partly due to the fact that you don't actually think about it happening because you're not actually sweating like you would in the heat and you don't think about liquid consumption. Great video and very informative as always!!! Thanks and keep warm!

3 seconds in I thought, hey that's a good idea.

Another tip would be to use a coffee filter at the bottom of the shemagh to strain out the finer particles

cool off your hot water pot into the melting shemag !
