High-Speed chase WRECKS FOUR POLICE CARS in Northern England

Seven officers were left injured and four police cars badly damaged after a pursuit ended in a crash on Wednesday (April 9). The collision took place on A1 carriageway of northern English city of Newcastle.

I've been on a motorway when a squad of high powered police cars were all driving at about 130/150 miles per hour. They were not chasing anyone it seemed to me they were either doing an exercise in high speed driving or simply enjoying using their cars for the thrill of it. This collision doesn't surprise me at all. Just hope no innocent people were involved.

If the police can't be trained to a high enough standard to avoid this farce of a scene, well do not allow it in the first place. It does seem the quality overall of the current force is unfit for use or purpose.

I hope the driver who wouldn't stop and rammed the police cars get a long sentence and a massive fine. He's just been charged with Dangerous driving, no licence, no insurance and failing to stop.
