Oh holy snap can’t wait to get mine in!!! Awesome review. Love my emax products. So far they have lasted the longest in my collection. The only quad I’ve had last longer was my $99 uavfutures build, I still fly that one almost 2 years later. Yea the motors are shot but they still spin lol. My bhr 2.5(pyroflip arms) is still running great, it’s been thru a few races and tons of crashes in practice.

I flew the Babyhawk R with 6000 kv motors on 4S with 2, 5''Gemfan 2540 the whole year long without any problems. You just have to do some PID tuning for 4S first place.

To me 3s is a sweet spot for these sizes. 4s makes it heavier and the dynamics change. But that’s just my opinion

Hey Albert, are you using the base BF (NOT BF3.5) that it came with or have you updated to 3.5 yet? did and I am having issues with the quad shaking, not a lot but ever so slightly that it is noticeable when hovering. I also notice when hovering it starts to rotate clockwise like a second hand on a watch but very slowly without input from the radio.

So BF 3.5 has been "fixed" to resolve the hot motors issue, or is there some specific filter or tune setting we need to configure to avoid that problem?

Is there any difference between high kv 3s vs low kv 4s? I was curious because I thought it didnt make much of a difference in performance. Maybe using high kv would be good though for weight on the 3s vs 4s. I might be wrong so correct me if I am.

I fly spectrum. How easy is it to get to the satalite uart on the board. Also is there a 3.3v rail for the spectrum race rx?

Sticking to my 4s r3 for sure. The mmcx connector, the 25A escs and the f4 stack are nice upgrades tho. Dont like the unibody design and the 3s only-feature. Canopy lookin great too but im not a single bit jealous maybe a little bit cause of the mmcx haha
