EMAX BabyHawk-R Mods, 2.5 Inch Frame Install and test flights

The EMAX Babyhawk-R should be a 2.5 Inch drone. After installing the 2.5 inch frame, which only took about 30 minutes, it is a much smoother flying drone. It still isn’t perfect, or even as good as I want it to be, but it’s much better.

Hey drone racer I know this video is old but I did the 2.5 inch arms with the emax avan 3024 props. I had to snip the slightest amount off the 2 front props. And let me tell you it is a powerhouse. Also it is so silent while flying. I own about 15 quads and this 1 gives off the lowest amount of noise.

Tip...power loop in the open. Not over a tree...haha. I hope someone will post link to 3" props for 11xx motors. I'd like to try some on a new build that I'm currently running 2540s. Keep trying mark, you'll figure it out.

I think you need to replace that capacitor. You shouldn't be having those issues with that big cap on there. I think you simply have a bad capacitor.

I picked up a Babyhawk R from a guy that was flying it in a Taranus XT Lite, but I can’t get it to bind with my Radiomaster Zorro. I’ve gone through all the normal binding steps did a fresh CLI dump, tried different protocols, etc. The lights all cycle and the motors turn in BetaFlight. Even the light on the receiver flashes once I put my transmitter into bind mode. Still nothing. Any tips? New firmware flash? New reviver? Thanks.

Avan 3 in props are quite and work great. You will need 3 in arms.
