Here's a Tutorial on how to add HD Scanlines to Fightcade 2's Flycast Emulator. Running Flycast at 3x Native Resolution 1920x1440 and using Reshade to produce HD Scanlines at 720.
This effect is like having an HD CRT Arcade Monitor. Great for Sega Naomi, Dreamcast, Atomiswave, Dolphin, ETC. For Educational Purposes only.. ;)

It looks better with the scanlines imo. Interesting because I think this game's native output is 480p which means it didn't originally have scanlines.

As a side note I don't think HD CRTs are capable of displaying scanlines natively. All HD CRTs upscale 240p content to the CRT's native resolution, which is something between 480p and 1080i. 240p games at a 480i resolution is the only way to have native scanlines.

There are "multiformat" CRTs that will display standard definition as well as higher resolutions without upscaling i.e RCA proscran (consumer grade) and the BVM-A20F1M (professional grade).

I have noticed that retro games running at 720p on an LCD with the MiSTer scanlines enabled can make a cheap LCD look like an HR CRT. HR CRTs are Sony's highest grade CRTs that were used for broadcast and presentations i.e. BVM1911.

I’m pretty much sure that if your display resolution is 1440 and you select 720p scanlines, the scanlines become invisible. The max you can get is 480 scans at that resolution.

I set up flycast yesterday on my crt emudriver setup... it's amazing! 320x240px really should have been a resolution mode in MvSC2. Have you tried halfing the resolution like that on your crt tv?

I just modded an Mvc arcade1up cab to run Fightcade. It works great but if you up the resolution, you get some weird graphical errors. So I put it on native res and put these scanlines and some blur and... Yeah it looks fantastic!

I have a 1080p TV but Flycast is set to 1920x1440 internal resolution. What would be the optimal scanline height?

I have a bartop 1280x1024 and i use flycast with internal 2x 1280x960. What is the scanlines height value to put?
With a Lg QHD (2560x1440) i put Flycast to 3x 1920x1440 and i use 360 as scanlines height.

Copied the settings exactly but it didn't work for me I got horrible screen flickering for some reason

mmm seems like in Fightcade 2 the resolution does not change when u do stuff, but even the 240p pixel scanline looks cool.
I used to have so many CRTs back in Greece, now that i moved to australia i have none :(

and here i use a vga to dvi active adapter to produce interlaced scanlines and force anything to get in 480i on a computer crt XD
