The anime is a rare case when anime is better than the manga. I don't really like Akane in the manga, but the anime make me sympathetic and understand her better. Also, I like how they handle kana's character arc. She is indeed the sun. Also the facial expressions of all characters in the anime is wayyy better. Aqua's performance gave me chills.
