Greta Thunberg speech before arrest in London at 'Oily Money Out' demonstration

Greta Thunberg has been arrested during a demonstration outside a hotel in London.

The Swedish climate activist had given a speech before being led away by officers following her involvement in the 'Oily Money Out' protest today. The 20-year-old was wearing a wooly hat and a badge bearing the name of the campaign - which was organised by Fossil Free London and Greenpeace.

She does not appear to have been handcuffed, as photos show two officers holding her arms to the sides while she walks outside the InterContinental London in Park Lane grinning. The demonstration was taking place on the opening day of the Energy Intelligence Forum 2023.

I haven't heard her when Russia was literally burning gas from their pipe on the border with Finland, I haven't heard her when Russia destroyed dam on Dniper river and created one of the largest ecological disaster in the world. She didn't participated in any protest against the war, against the Russian invasion, which creates catastrophic impact on the climate. Also I never heard any realistic plan of how we should solve our global climate problem, not only in Sweden or UK, but what is more important, in the rest of the world, whose impact is tremendous, like in India or Africa. Has she ever think how easy is to introduce electric cars or nuclear stations in Africa? I only hear the same words about corrupted oil companies and that nobody wants to solve the problem. Well, we all know this already very old idea and also we know that western governments are trying to solve multiple climate problems. So what is the point of her activity? It looks more like her personal addiction or even religion - doing nothing and just travel everywhere saying the same old boring banality!
