Greta Thunberg forcibly removed by police at climate protest — again

Climate activist Greta Thunberg was forcibly removed by police from a protest blockade in the southern Swedish city of Malmo on Monday, just hours after a local court fined her for disobeying a police order during a similar protest last month.

Thunberg, 20, admitted during the court proceedings that she had disobeyed the police order but pleaded not guilty and said that she was acting out of necessity since the climate crisis is an emergency.

"We know that we cannot save the world by playing by the rules because the rules have to be changed," she said after her sentencing.

After Monday's verdict, Thunberg and other activists headed back to Malmo harbour only to be carried away by police again for blocking traffic.

If she refuses to obey the law, commit her to a place where she is under supervision for minors for two years, if she is 18 or older, put her in jail, that’s the way you fix those kind of problems although they’re young they are idiots. They get it in their head that laws are just made for someone else not them. You are having the problem out of her because you are not doing anything about it. That’s just the way it is.

Gretta should have lived with us in the Pamirs or in Afghanistan. That would be honest on her part! I have a free house, I can even give it to her! Here we have electricity only in summer, from hydroelectric power plants, there are no factories, there is nothing else at all. There are people, mountains, rivers, glaciers and a maximum of 100-200 cars, no trains!
