How much does a Delta Airlines pilot make?

A Delta Airlines pilot's starting salary for a first-year First Officer is $108.34 per flight hour. The salary depends on four variables: the type of plane, the pilot's tenure at Delta, whether they are a First Officer or a Captain, and how many hours they fly each month. We'll assume an average of 75 flight hours per month. As a first year, First Officer flying an A220, you'd earn around $97,000 per year. Top pay as a First Officer is reached after 12 years at Delta, but even by year 8, still flying an A220, the salary is $211.68 per hour, equating to about $190,000 per year. After between 5 to 12 years, a First Officer typically becomes a Captain. So, if you become a Captain in year 8 while still flying an A220, your salary would be $313.60 per hour or about $282,000 per year. By year 12, the top pay for a Captain flying an A220 is $323 per hour, about $291,000 per year. If you then become a Captain of an A350 at top pay, your salary would be $417.54 per flight hour, which totals around $376,000 per year.

Just wish airline pilot school wasn’t so expensive.

is this the pay rate for an 8th year FO? i imagine after 8 years youve become a captain which would be a significant increase in salary.

Dang I dream of becoming a pilot when I grow up and learn all I can. This is pretty ok to me but I am only 12

Isn’t it true that one must have perfect 20/20 vision as a requirement to be a pilot even after passing all other test and exams?
Guess that info was left out in the video.
