U cnt wet it a little and expect it to revert right back...its gonna take a lot of water and clarify it to remove the old products and over time it will revert all the way back.. dnt worry gorgeous!

It’s okay, it’ll get better over time. But you should not have flat ironed twice in a row.

Heat training is addictive!!! The compliments seem to never end. This tells me that our society has changed but not as much as I would like.

The water dripping on your shirt made me cold 😂😂😂

It's ok sis, I know exactly how u feel. When u straighten your hair and see that flow 💁🏾‍♀️ & length it's mesmerizing 😍 & u wanna keep it straight for a while 😩 but we end up suffering the consequences. It's hard, it's like what's the point of having this thick, long, healthy beautiful hair if we can barely show it or do anything with it but protective styles & wash n go's 🤦🏾‍♀️😫😢.

Don’t do that again
Your texture is beautiful

I’ve definitely been concerned and make sure to add a heat protector when adding heat

I got a little concerned at how many times you straightened it. It’s beautiful but healthy hair is better. Heat damage RUINED my hair!!!! But always remember hair is just hair❤️❤️❤️

You can try hot oil treatments and protein treatments. I had heat damage as a result of straightening my hair in a Chinese salon. Those two things 👆 helped me a lot 😍.

When I stretch my hair and spray it for moisture, it takes a while to revert too. That doesn't mean it's heat damaged. I hardly use heat as well. I also leave it alone after undoing the stretching hairstyle and it reverts by itself.

Do a clay mask...(Bentonite/Aztec clay.) It’ll clarify your hair and bring back the elasticity of your curls. Then deep condition 👌🏾

The sad music though. You know after you flat iron your hair you have to soak your hair under water. That little bit of water is a whole joke. Your hair is healthy not saying you can't get heat damage, but the way you condition it and use aloe Vera I wasn't concerned. Lol

I had heat damage a lot when I first went natural over 10 years ago. I just trimmed it once or twice a month and deep conditioned regularly. As far as keeping the textured look. Just do braidouts until it grows back. Oh and buns too.

Hi Mercy. I finally finished watching and I am so happy for you that your hair went back to natural and was not damaged. My previous comment was all love and support for you and hoping for the best for you. Just like one other person commented, some of us were having a mini heart attack for you...lol...just in a hopeful way rooting for you. Of course if you needed to cut it, we would all support your decision and continue on your natural hair journey with you. I don’t know what that “hater”’was talking about with regards to my first comment. I truly was taken aback and wanted to make sure you didn’t misunderstand me too. Nothing but love for you 💗. Keep up the good work.

It may just be product buildup/silicones preventing the water to be absorbed and shrink up. I would always recommend washing and doing a protein treatment before committing to cutting. Good luck

I had my hair blown out 3 weeks ago and I got a little heat damage. I haven’t put heat in my hair since 2017 and I want to CRY! I decided to come straight to you and see what I can do.

I cut mine and started deep conditioning. When I was wearing weaves I had to straighten my hair for it to blend better. I stopped and now it is so healthy. I do not put any heat on my hair unless sitting under the dryer while deep conditioning. I also work out, take vitamins and try to eat well. It will grow back.
