Former student surprises 3rd grade teacher 40 years later

Cindy Davis shares the same birthday week as her favorite teacher. This year Davis's only birthday wish was to track her down and say thank you.

As a retired teacher, I can only say thank you for all of us! Teaching is internally extremely rewarding but "thank you" is not something we generally hear.

My aunt is a retired teacher (40 years 2nd grade) and the number of students that have sought her out for this same reason is unbelievable ❤ Celebrate our dedicated teachers!!

I did this about 20 years ago, and the teachers that I could find were so happy that someone came back and said thank you. From the teachers, I had actually made me think better and become better writer and just a better human being all the way around I remember my typing teacher asked me why I was content with mediocre. Got me to thinking for sure.
