Hot Wheels AcceleRacers: The Fog Realm [Episode 1] (Fan-Film)

Six months after the World Race, a new kind of challenge presents itself. The Racing Realms are opening, and Doctor Tezla needs drivers. Follow along as Dan Dresden and Banjee Castillo face the fog, with new faces joining the fray.

Hello all! We finally did it—The Fog Realm Part 1 is finally out after a grueling three and a half years!

It's been a long journey full of ups and downs. Truth be told, I wasn't sure if this project was ever going to come out, but looking back, every hour spent animating and rendering was well worth it! With all that said, I want to shout out the people who really helped make this film a reality:

JMSBD07, Sav, MCWDD, TPM-VA, Dyroth, Reece, and Knollidge. This project wouldn't exist without you. You all made my dream of making a Hot Wheels movie come true, and I can't begin to express how much it means to me!

To everyone who has supported this project as Patrons or simply by following it, thank you for sticking around this long! All of you are the OGs!

This isn't the end, though—there are plenty of things yet to be done for The Fog Realm's extended universe. (You can find more videos about it in the description!) We're hoping to begin production of the second part of the film very soon (we've just begun finalizing the script). Between both parts, it's looking to be about thirty minutes long! I hope you all will continue to join us as we move to finish this story!

First off I cannot believe this is now real. After almost 20 years we have received what feels like an official piece of Animated Acceleracers media. Words cannot describe how happy my inner 8 year old is, and my current 27 year old self is.

I wish I could donate more to you and your team, the amount of blood sweat and tears I know that went to bringing this to reality, just know there are many of us in the community who will cherish this until the end of time.

Thank you for letting me help a little bit with mocap on the project, and I hope as my talents improve I can maybe help more in depth with future projects! Bringing all the talent from the acceleracers community together to create something that Mattel refuses to remaster/continue.

I will be watching this on repeat, and crying my eyes out as I get to experience the greatest fan made piece of acceleracers content to ever exist.

Acceleracers with the World Race flaming Wheel transition?!?! what the hell is this genius?

Some easter eggs I noticed and wanted to point out -
- Many more cars are shown in the background at the Acceledrome, including Sooo Fast, Maelstrom, Muscle Tone, 55 Nomad (with the Wave Rippers Livery still), 24/7, and a partially built Seared Tuner (may be others also)
- After Dan asks Banjee where he went and he looks away, there is a faint purple light on his face - this likely implies that he already had ties to the Silencerz/encountered them before the events of the realms (after the world race). Maybe Alec and/or Banjee are already secretly working for them??
- The cars and suits still have the Scrim co. and Scrim tech logos
- If you pause on the dash/comms you can see the songs they are listening to, many are from the Acceleracers soundtrack.
- The date on the photo on Banjee's dash of himself, Skeet, and Esmerelda is 6-21-2003 which is 20 days after the original release date of the World Race movie. Also, the message on it reads, "We didn't win, but we're still the rest."
- The comms/dash show the names of the cars and their teams. At a couple points, Dan's shows 'Pony Up' as the car name. This may be a mistake.
- In the intro, Silhouette II and Pony Up are flashing red, which typically only occurs in Acceleracers when vehicles are lost/severely damaged, which hints at the possibility that Blazer and Belle may crash at some point in the Realm.
- After Side Draft's near crash, the screen says "critical damage to engine and transmission detected. Performance will be sub-optimal. Engine and transmission repairs required." This may serve as an omen for something that will bite back at Dan later in the race, beyond just his comms being down and being separated from the others.
- Gelorum in her appearance says, "He his watching, " and that "hunting him down" is the top priority. She is likely referring to Doctor Tezla, but the ambiguity makes me wonder if it may be someone else.
- Dr. Tezla is not shown, as he is likely still very injured from the crash he had at the beginning of Ignition, making me think that this is occuring during a timeskip from between then and the Clash at the coast. He probably isn't showing himself because he doesn't want to have to explain what happened to him. It's interesting that we still don't know what he told the drivers to get them to join, and why he picked this lot, but I'm hoping Valken dives more into this lore in part 2!!
That's all I got for now, but if anyone notices something else, please let me know!

Hey everyone! VA for Bell here. I hope you all enjoyed the film!

Working with everyone was amazing and I'm honoured and incredibly thankful to have been given the chance to take part in this monumental project and build upon the shows that hold a special place in my heart.

I want to take the time to thank everyone who worked on this project, their talents were on full display throughout this film and it shows. From the phenomenal work from the Director and Story Writers intertwining the vibe of Highway-35 and Acceleracers, to Animators and Artists giving the scenes depth and a world of their own, the outstanding work from my fellow Voice Actors who brought life to characters old and new alike, and the Composers and Sound FX Crew who did a breathtaking job making, recreating and mixing everything into a phenomenal finished product! Without all of these talented individuals, none of this would have happened.

And of course, I want to thank all of you who watched and supported the film. I'll see you all in Part 2! <3

I was the sound designer behind this project, so everything that you’re hearing that isn’t music or dialogue, yeah that was for the most part all me. All those vroom vrooms, tyre skids, crashes, all of it. Even the remade portal opening and wheel slam.

It was an honour to be a part of this team, and this was probably the best experience I’ve had working on any project, and much like y’all, I can’t wait for part 2!

I hope Mattel (or whatever company who owns the rights) doesn't take down this video because its insane, the quality, the production, everything is good. Its interesting how they could keep the style somewhat similar to the original movie with 3d cartoonish characters. I hope this project can keep going strong!
