Hot Wheels AcceleRacers: The Fog Realm – Episode 2 is Coming!

The Fog Realm Episode 1 was a huge success! As of this post, we've blown past 80,000 views, making it one of the biggest AcceleRacers fan projects out there!

Thanks to all of your amazing support, we’re officially moving into production for Episode 2! We can’t thank you enough, this project means everything to us!

As of March 29th, we've started the final draft of the script. After a short break, we'll dive straight into story-boarding! Episode 2 is shaping up to be about the same length as Episode 1, maybe even a little longer. We'll see how it goes!

To make Episode 2 even better, we've launched a soft crowdfunding campaign to get a Rokoko motion capture suit for character animation. This will speed up animation by 2–8x, meaning we can get Episode 2 to you way faster! If you'd like to support us, I have a Ko-fi page set up! All donations will go directly toward the mocap suit, and after that, they'll help cover other film expenses.

Question.

When you’re done with the Fog Realm do you plan to make one for the Monument, Warped, and Swamp realm?

Unless I missed something those are the realms we know they got into before the 4 movies begins since we see Banjees car in the Swamp realm and see the Drones use those 3 accelechargers in the Storm realm.

Sitting back and waiting as the project continues leaves us with a huge impression when the final product is done, but overlooks the huge amount of dedication it no doubt took to see everything culminate over time behind the scenes. Love letters like this make it as clear as anything that while an artist is Inseparable from their creation, so too does the fanbase claim a stake of ownership over the things they hold dear. And if I were a creator, something like this is the highest form of praise possible. Looking forward to the next one (Get better mics guys, please, they're not THAT expensive. Maybe outsource audiomixing or something, OPUS was way too quiet and almost unintelligible.) And may we see Dan get lost and rescued in the Fog Realm, Banjee in the Swamp Realm, and even Alec Wood in the Warped realm (thematically this fits the trope that drivers who specialize in a realm usually fail in them).
