Traditional Quindim recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 gems
- 200g grated coconut
- 200 ml of coconut milk
- 200 ml of milk
- 200g of sugar
- Butter for greasing the molds
- Sugar to caramelize the molds
Method of preparation:
Start by preheating the oven to 180°C.
In a bowl, mix the grated coconut, coconut milk and milk. Reserve.
In another bowl, beat the yolks with the sugar until you get a very homogeneous mixture.
. Add the coconut mixture to the bowl with the yolks and stir gently until everything is incorporated. Grease the molds with butter and then sprinkle with sugar to caramelize the bottom and sides of the molds.
Pour the batter into the molds, filling them halfway.
Place in a preheated oven in a bain-marie for approximately 40 minutes, or until the quindins are firm and golden.
Remove from the oven, wait to cool down and unmold.
Serve chilled and enjoy this delight!
