An important part is missing here! Before starting, check that there is enough fuel in the tank. To do this, open the fuel cap and shine a match inside.

Very useful, I sent this to my friend who just bought a gsxr1000 as their first bike!

I'm 37 years old, and i've been a motorcycle engineer for the last 50 years. This is some of the most technically accurate beginner's guides I've ever seen. Great job.

As someone driving an Italian motorcycle, you forgot to mention another feature we have been having since the dawn of time: while there are bikes where 1, neutral, 2, neutral, 3, neutral, etc. might be accurate, some have a dynamic neutral, meaning the additional neutral switches position depending on time of day, latitude and moon phase.

A feature I like in my bike is quantum gearing. Sometimes it enters the superposition of N and 2, and only after you give it enough throttle does it collapse into either N or 2.

If it's raining, make sure to smear oil on your tires to dissipate any water that might accumulate.

I've been riding street, dirt, touring, everything since 1963 and I learned more in this 5:43 minute video than I've learned in the last 62 years. Thank you, , Ryan! 😂

One tip that I'll always remember from when I was learning is to store the bike upside down. I just rest it on the seat and handlebars. I park my bike like that in the evening, , and especially if it's sitting for longer periods. That way the partially consumated fuel is mixed in with the fuel in the tank, and you avoid weak starts.

On a more serious note: I’d be down for a series like this. I was just thinking I’d like to binge some more current rider tips videos from you, and a couple weeks later we get this gem.

My man pulled an (almost) 6 min video with a good amount of effort in a single take… huge respect (yes i know he has done it before too)

okay in all honesty I've never ridden a bike before and forgot the date so this had me believing most of it (with some doubts) until the oil on the brakes bit; ryan's delivery is perfect, literally could not be more convincing

I don't know if this is an April Fool's day video because this whole channel feels like a fever dream anyhow.

You still do youtube, I’m amazed. First watched your video when I was 18 yrs old, watching best motor under 50$. Now I have my 4000$ motor. Not that much, but it’s a blessing.

If this was uploaded any other day, I dont think I'd even notice it as a "joke" video. Ryan has a lot of jokes like these even in the normal videos. Great way to be cheeky without being overtly over the top.
