Nice, it runs good for a clone. 372s are such great saws I was always surprised you hadn't done a real one.

I have ported several 372's over the years. A few of mine ended up at 85 intake as well. Just as you demonstrated here throttle response might suffer a bit but boy do they cut wood. Personally I like about 50"" cut to the squish band. I think they pull better on top. But who knows with after market cylinders. You may have the perfect compression ratio right there. It certainly cuts good. Id say that saw will be competitive. Lets us know how it goes against the others.

Those logs have it out for tri-pods. You may have to weld up a rugged tri-pod mount out of fence T-posts or something.

I have a Holzfforma G660 72cc..
I have the tools and able to port it myself,
I just dont really understand 2 stroke port timings and engine degree calculations etc...
So just looking for a rule of thumb...
Just exhaust port raised?!?!? and roughly how much by?
Dont want nothing extreme.. Just a mild porting, that will keep it reliable for years to come, But give a good noticeable increase in cutting power...
10 degrees raised on exhaust?!?!
or less?!?!
I have already fitted a modded muffler and tuned carb to suit.. Didnt really notice much tbh
thanks

Idle has improved for sure, those 2cuts are strong, the potential is definitely there.

😳 Wow. 😃 I like it. How much timing advance did you give it? If you don't mind my asking.

Thats a great running Rippa.
Torque is good. Rpms also in the Cut.
Static Compression would be nice to know.
