Hey hun, those are some great reads. The Name of the Rose sounds really interesting and I really need to get to The Illiad sometime soon. I am currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo, East of Eden, Wool, and The Blade Itself. Can't wait to see more from you and hope your doing well 😊

Nice choice for your first Mieville, loved Railsea and the world he creates in it. I do have to say that Mieville is not an author whose books get easier to read as you become more used to their writing style. Each book is so different and has it's own challenges but that creates an real sense of achievement once you've finished.
I'm currently working on several advance books through netgalley and other sources that I've left a bit long and really need to get read.

The name of the rose is one of my favorites! The philosophy discussed in the book is completely enthralling. I devored it in a short time. Blackwood sounds interesting! Where were you living in Asia? I didn't know!

I definitely want to buy and read The Name of the Rose, but I almost feel like I'm full up for the rest of the year. Maybe that will be one of my reading goals for 2017. I'm definitely a fan of historical fiction with religious and political elements; and having read a little bit about the spanish inquisition in other books, it is a horrifying, but fascinating topic.
