hey anyone seeing this, i just took AP chem last year. I’d say while knowing the periodic table is important you don’t have to know all of the symbols and elements, i barely knew them. I’d say it’s more important to know what the general trends of the periodic table are and the difference between metals and non metals!
Also thanks for all the help last year Jeremy!

Hi, I’m taking AP Chemistry next year without having taken any prior chemistry classes (except maybe as part of general science classes in middle school). Given that I know all of the things you mentioned in this video, is there anything else I should learn before class starts this fall? Also, is it possible to substitute the lab experience that many of my classmates will have with knowledge of how to do labs?

Hello! I am a freshmen rightnow and am taking honors chem. We learned/or are learning about the topics you listed in this video. So that led me to question, how much harder is AP chemistry than honors or on-level? Will similar topics and concepts still be taught and used in AP chemistry or will there be topics we never encountered in honors chem that’ll we’ll learn in AP?
