Показать описание
In 1997 the Njord Field on the Norwegian continental shelf came on stream. The field was expected to produce until 2013. In 2016 the platform and storage vessel was towed to shore, for an extreme make over. The platform was upgraded at Aker Solutions Stord , where it was originally built in the 1990’s, while Brevik Engineering carried out the engineering work for the FSO, upgraded by Aibel Haugesund Global maritime and Ocean Installer carried out marine operations. In 2022 the upgraded Njord A and Njord Bravo was towed to the field, again, ready to produce oil and gas for 20 more years. 27. December the field came on stream, again. In 2023 drilling operations will commence on the Njord A platform, again. The investments in the field are expected to be recovered in full in less than two years (2024).
