Check out the new 5.11 Icon pant. It's kind of like a Stryke 2.0
I wore the Icon pant for a month now, and it feels like a lighter version of the Stryke. The Icon has the 9 in side cargo pockets, unlike the Stryke's 7 in pockets. The Icon does not have the self adjusting waistband, but it has a more accurate feel. The knees does not have the knee pad feature, making it a lighter feel pant. The overall pant is also a slim fit, which I think it's a better feel and looks more urban and less tactical, but with all the same features.
I love the Icon pant.

I Have some Helikon tex OTP’s (Outdoor Tactical Pants) they are great!

A bit hot out in the sun, due to the fabric! 93/7 Nylon/spandex

So they stretch very well, have double knees and seat, very very lightweight. And extremely durable. Nylon is stronger then Polyester.

They are Teflon coated as well.

I use them for Scouting mainly. Or climbing. Bcs they are abrasion resistant and offer a excellent range of motion.

Its a polish brand I think. But they do a great job. In the EU (I’m from Belgium) its hard to find US brands for a decent price 😔 but Helikon tex is pretty good.

They also have a Cotton version.

They have adjustable leg openings and a pocket for knee pads.

I would bet these tactical brands are far more durable than the more fashion oriented tech ware brands asking way more.
You have mentioned 2 if the best mainstream tactical brands. For super cheap, check out LA police gear, Tactical Distributors Carlos Ray line... Many online tactical oriented shops have their own lines for cheap. There are Euro tactical brands also.
Higher end stuff like Kitanica, Tad, Fjallraven, Crye, LEAF by Arcteryx etc, should be checked out.
OH, Viktos has dope stuff.

I can confirm that Tru-Spec has great bang for your buck. I got two of their 24-7 line dress shirts, which are available in a longer sleeve length than usual and therefore can fit me. Fit is still an issue if you have longer limbs (I know that they cut the cost on the fabric with their big armholes and other design "features" - but you can not complain for a 50 $ shirt with many (big) pockets.

I dont know whether I still like teflon coated fabric since it has a relatively bad impact on the environment ... which is a price thats not in the money price tag but still there some way. also labor ... these are all issues strongly intertwined with cheap clothing, and especially cheap techwear. anyways, I should do a review on the shirt, I guess.

I run the Triple Aught Design Force 10 AC Cargos as a part of my personal uniform. It has drawstring on the leg opening so I don’t need to mod it to get the taper — just tighten, roll up, then twist. $140 currently.
