I can only imagine how much this woman went through; only to then be brutally assaulted and murdered. In the 80s, home camera systems were not really a thing; they found the calls came from her home; but they didn’t know how when timelines often times places her at work or otherwise; I wish we could say we have come a long way in protecting folks from stalking and harassment ; but sadly; we still victim blame and fall short for those folks as well. Cindy James, I hope whole-heartedly that she rest in peace. And even if the ex was out of the country; couldn’t he have hired himself someone to help? I think he’s hella suss . ❤

This case is so sad I can’t believe she dealt with that for so long and nobody ever solved it ): I was listening to this at work I was halfway falling asleep 😹😭

I kind of think the cop ex boyfriend is suspect. Maybe he had a crush on her from afar because it’s just odd to me that he volunteered to change her locks for her. Then he would have had plenty of access to a literal “brotherhood” of help which would make sense why she was scared for her families safety to tell who one of the attackers were. Also, it makes sense to me that the attacks kept happening even after he moved in because he wanted to keep the scheme up to reassure her that she needs him. But when they didn’t work and she kicked him to the curb, the harassment began to escalate and the physical attacks started. Lastly, if he is the only one who saw Cindy’s ex husband in the alley way with a gun then that’s really just his word against hers. Could be very wrong but just my opinion.
