Do NOT buy "Wind and Water Tight" for home construction. That made up grade is to sell containers condemned for maritime service. Go "one trip" grade and get multiple quotes. Buying old junk seems cool until you get to deal with the usual corrosion and damage. I have two WWT turds (never again) welded together as my machine shop and two separate one-trip 40ft High Cubes with doors on both ends (and a 20 for storage but I'd never use that short little thing to live in). I am an experienced welder, mechanic and general gearhead.

Do NOT put your container on the ground unless you like moisture intrusion. Anyone can make anything look good with software so only copy actual structures you can see in detail. Build a container workshop first to get familiar because if you are this hardcore at DIY you need one anyway, and they keep vermin away from your tools (I use dehumidifiers draining outside the structure).

Don’t buy from container one… we bought a wind and water tight… through one of their distributors. They had an excellent warranty… everything they said about spam companies… is exactly what they did to us. Sent a container that was literally pouring water… did nothing but send us a patch… and assured us it was wind and water tight. Cost us a boat load of money and the warranty stuff is set up in a triangle so no one is responsible to meet the garuntee.
