No. The pejorative of Christian and Christian Nationalist are not the same. One is alignment with Christ alone and one is alignment with Christ and country. We can and should support our country (to the extent and within the confines provided in God’s word), but at the end of the day we are aligned with Christ and Christ alone. To elevate nation to the even a near level is unwise because we, as sinful humans, very quickly make idols for ourselves. Especially smooth talking politicians who just tell you what you want to hear.

I say all this with the caveat that I haven’t read the book because I’m not as cool as you are.

The difference is that Christians were called such due to following Christ *as opposed* to their nation, not for assuming their nation had always followed the Way. People who rebel against God's direct words will have absolutely no regard for man's attempt to enforce them. Indeed, they cannot obey a law derived from the Bible if they are not elect.

The great commission found in Matthew 28:18-20 is a command from Jesus that we be Christian nationalists. He reaffirms theonomy. Every nation is a theocracy; all leaders authority comes for Jesus, whether they recognize it or not. I do not advocate ecclesiocracy as God has made separate spheres of influence for families, churches, and governments. But, God does require that all governments bend the knee and propagate His standard of righteousness in light of the Gospel. Whenever they fail to do so, it is the job of the church and families to check and balance them.

Your brand is interesting. The things you say scream YouTube tryhard. The phrase Christian nationalism is now a money making tool. I’m not sure it’s the right way to go about it I think things are political enough and if your Christian shouldn’t need much argument to vote against the left. I think it’s divisive any way you swing it and it’s divisive no fault of it’s own. The problem with Christianity the last 15 years is the church turned into the world. This smells like the world.
