On your website, you list “low maintenance cleaning” as a benefit of the Smokefire. How is removing 3 grates, 6 flavorizer bars, a heat diffuser and then scraping grease/ash sludge from the bottom of the cooker after every single cook low maintenance? This is not how you marketed this grill. This is not what I paid for.

Why not design it so the grease runs away from the fire pot instead of towards it? Today I went to my local hardware store that sells a ton of grills to buy a smokefire. They have pulled them from the floor and are not selling them at this time. They did an initial burn in on a EX6 and it had a situation where it fed too many pellets into the fire pot and it started on fire.

most grease fires I have seen have been on the 1st cook, so cleaning it does not seem to be the problem, it looks like ash and grease mix and it channels right by the fire pot igniting the grease.. all in the 1st cook..

Wow, what excuses ! I have only and I say only have owned Weber grills since I first started grilling more then 30 years. I’m so glad I canceled my pre order when I did. I just had a feeling they might be rushing it. They only smoker I have owned is an original Traeger. I have never had these issues with my Traeger. I admit I don’t clean it as much as I should but have never had an issue. This is a disaster. There is no excuse Weber for not admitting these faults, stop putting bandaids on something you know is a problem. You are making it hard for Weber fans to stick behind you! I really wanted this to work out, I just don’t trust it and don’t need this much work for something that should be an enjoyable experience. Thanks for all the years of grilling but I think you missed the mark in this one. Make us proud to own a Weber again.

So I'll tell you how to clean a camp chef woodwind wifi with sidekick. Pull patented ash cleanout leaver, empty cup and that's it, it's that simple.
