I never played Brazil before and yesterday i started a network game with my brother with random civs. He got Russia and i got Brazil. I was gutted because i love Russia and didnt know anything about Brazil.
My start wasn't great (about 15 tiles from the nearest rainforest) but i didnt know this at the time. After spending yesterday desperately trying to get some real development going whilst watching my bro racing ahead with his tundra production i decided to look for a Brazil guide. This was the one i found and im so glad i did.
Now i know how to actually get the best out of Pedro & ill be settling the rainforests asap (but not clearing them because of those lovely adjacency bonuses!)

I love Brazil even if he's power crept. Feel less vanilla than say Dido or Sumaria imo, and can build preserves and Chichen Itza for some spicy rainforest yields like no other civ which can become national parks later. Just very terrain dependant
