Показать описание
The Canon FX is a historically significant camera for at least two reasons. It was the first camera to feature Canon’s FL mount and it was part of Canon’s participation in the nation-wide rebranding. Released just in time for the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, the FX and the FL mount lenses no doubt featured prominently in the photography pit.

In this video:
Canon FX - Fully Manual and Mechanical SLR with a built-in CdS Light Meter.
Available Shutter Speeds: B to 1/1000

Lenses - Canon FL 58mm 1.2 and Canon FL 50mm 1.8

Battery: [ To power the CdS Light Meter only] 625 type Mercury Batteries that are now outlawed in most countries. Some alternatives are:

Interesting Accessories for the Canon FX
Eyesight adjustment lenses (so you don’t have to wear your glasses)

Hi! Another interesting video of a camera I did not know of in detail. It is interesting to know the background and a bit of history behind a camera. Thanks for all the effort put into researching and producing this video.

Very Kul man! Thanks for this awesome video. I got mine a long time ago from my grandpa. I had no idea how great of a camera it is. I was immediately attracted to it cuz of its leather case and Jimi Hendrix style strap

Great video (like all I've seen so far!), thank you Ade. Also, love the Battlestar Galactica reference. Looking forward to your next videos (and watching all the others). So say we all. :)

Did you ever get around to doing a video on just the light meter on this camera? I recently got one off of eBay and it appears to be an amazing camera and I'm sure I need a new battery but I would love to get your review to help me fully understand it.

Minolta SR-7 is obviously the inspiration.
These FL lenses can also be used on FD cameras.

Thank you for this thorough review! I just bought a lot of film cameras and this was one of them, except it came with an 80-240mm. Truly a mammoth of a lens... I bought the lot with the intentions of selling everything, however I'm now thinking adding the FX to the collection. Probably a testiment to your story telling about the camera 😆

Liking the instructional feel to this video. Nice camera Ade, I picked up a mint one with a 50 1.8 in a local charity shop for less than a tenner. I'm yet to put a film through it yet

I just picked up one of these and the advance lever worked in the store but then I got home and it's now no longer working.. I'm wondering if there's anything I can do or if I need to have it serviced? counter on the top part also is not resetting automatically when the door opens, like you mentioned do you have any other details on that function ?

Great video! You mention you were going to make a video about the meter... I have this camera (the Bell & Howell version) and would love a video about this meter! If you've already made one, please point me in the direction! Thanks.

What is the song that plays on background from 0:45?
BTW - amazing video!

7:05 Are you talking about amateur Olympus cameras that were made out of plastic (so not as good as this) or cameras for professionals like OM1 or OM2 that are bought to be much more used than Canon FX, anyway... awesome video!
