To everybody hating on MJ for her inconstancy, this is the film trilogy where we actually get a glimpse into her backstory. Unlike Peter, who was raised in a healthy and supporting environment, MJ grew up in a broken home with an abusive alcoholic father. As a result her constant struggle throughout the three films is with believing in her own self-worth and finding somebody who truly respects her, rather than wearing her as a badge on his sleeve. She may appear inconstand and fickle but bear in mind that throughout her formative years she has never had a good example of a healthy, loving and respectful relationship. She must find that out absolutely on her own. What I love about this franchise is how believably her character was written and how humanly it was portrayed by Kirsten Dunst.

For people who keep saying mj herself is a cheater, in part 1 and 2 both, it's peter that she kissed while she was with others. Why? Cuz she had feelings for him. She even leaves a man in the altar FOR peter. And up until this scene she doesn't kiss anyone. It's only after she sees Gwen throwing herself off over Peter in the restaurant and after they had a fight she kisses Harry which ofc is still wrong but at least she regrets doing it right after. Compared to that Peter kissing Gwen as spiderman( and not even regretting it) while claiming not to have any feeling for her is total sus. No gf'd be okay with that. People hating mj I feel are just a sheep in the herd. No logic just following the trend of hating Raimis mj.
