- This lecture explains the anatomy of gluteal region.
At the end of this lecture, the student should be able to:
- Identify the location of gluteal region.
- Name and identify the muscles, ligaments, nerves and blood supply of gluteal regions.
- Name the structures passing through the greater sciatic foramen and lesser sciatic foramen in the gluteal regions.
- Understand the trochanteric and cruciate Anastomosis
- Clinical correlations related to the gluteal region including the safe area for IM injection, Trendelenburg’s sign, and Piriformis Syndrome.
