I share some thoughts as I react to a concept shared in a Joe Rogan interview about intrinsic vs extrinsic values and how that relates to parenting.

Dave I watch all your videos because I value your insight on all the topics you cover. I agree with your assessment of modern working parents and the challenges it poses to properly rearing kids. My wife and I are in the process of adopting a 4 and 6 year old and our first goal is to live on one income so we can begin homeschooling. As much as I appreciate these videos I think it'll be super helpful if you gave us a glimpse of some of your interaction with your kids. I understand there might be some privacy concerns but even some audio snippets will help us wrap our minds around these concepts. 🙏🏽

Dave, thanks to you and Rob I now have invested 30 salaries worth in TSLA. Now I discovered this channel. I got 9 m/o son and it’s very exciting for me that I found this channel as well. Please please please continue sharing with us.

I completely agree. There’s way too many threats and bribes and not enough innate intrinsic motivation in parenting and education

Appreciate the video. Will you give more real life examples from different areas of family life to illustrate what you mean? The pulling the tooth or screen time ones were already great.

what if i told you that developing more timid, more scared kids, ones that just wanna comply, is intended by those who made the system?

in a sense you dont need to know that, you can just fight for change without knowing it, but i wonder...is it wise to not be aware of your enemy? i dont know
