Manchester Airport shutdown: Heavy snow disrupts travel

Manchester Airport is warning passengers to expect heavy delays after its runways were forced to close due to snow this morning. In a statement, the airport said: ‘Our runways are now open but, as a result of the earlier closure, some departures and arrivals may still experience delays. ‘Please check with your airline for the latest flight information and allow extra time for your journey today.’ Three flights have been cancelled so far, while 35 departures have been delayed. At least 27 arrivals have also been delayed, with more expected to follow. #snow #airport
