I began solo trips after a bad separation..just what I needed. I was 69 when I began. Italy, two cominos..the Portuguese 350 Km and then the de Frances.850 km... took 6weeks for that one. Loved the walking and being alone or the community of walkers if I wanted. Stayed in hostels and different levels of hotels...took days off if I felt like it or to explore bigger cities.. Highly recommend going out there and jus doing it. The pandemic slowed down my walking but there are all levels out there so will continue when I can..73 now..Met lots of 80's and older.

I used to go on hiking holidays before I got married. I trekked foothills of Himalayas, hiked in Tuscany and Cyprus. Loved it all. X
