✍️ PRACTICE:
Write topic sentences for the following writing prompts:
What are the best ways to improve your English at home? (write just 1 paragraph)
What are the reasons people should go to college? (write an essay; you will need 2-4 topic sentences)

TIPS:
1. Use the formula: The first reason/step/benefit of ... is ...
2. Include the topic, controlling idea, and key point of the paragraph.
3. If you're writing topic sentences for an essay, add variety by using synonyms and/or moving the key point to the front.
