This video is to help students understand how a topic sentence works in a paragraph. It shows how the topic sentence controls the content and how the content supports the topic sentence. The vocabulary used in the video has been kept at an easy level, and the spoken rate is quite slow to help students to follow.

This video can also be used for teaching in the classroom. The volume could be turned down, and the teacher could just use the frames and supply his or her explanation. Some teachers get the students to use the color codes when they are writing. I think this is very cool and productive.
