Why haven't someone made it where that your cellphone could get the same local stations for free like that of being in a home/etc. And without the need of wifi too. Because it can be done. I remember back in the 80's/90's without WiFi you could walk around with a portable tv the size of the 1st. Gameboy by Nintendo back then. We have all this power of tech in phones and it can't give you free local stations? Wow indeed.

I have seen all of these fail and simple rabbit ears work I have also made simple antennas out of coax cable stripped down
Nothing has changed about free air tv since I was a child in the 70’s except for increased interference from other radio wave source .
so start with traditional antenna use shortest run of cable you can to reduce resistance.
Move it around near a window is generally best or get an attic unit run it to a center area and enjoy .
All homes are different but generally share one thing in common internal interference by ourselves and materials near antenna
So one must play the antenna dance.
