Trunk makes more sense than boot because trunk is another word for chest, a box that holds things. Boots are just footwear. It doesn’t make much sense. Also, in Minnesota, where I’m from, the Don’t Walk and Walk signs aren’t red and green words or men. Instead, Don’t Walk is an orange hand and Walk is a white person. Anybody else?
