Makes you wonder tho, how different things might've played out if Dren had been exposed to emotionally intelligent and stabled people. I'm not thinking Dren would've been any less aggressive, but I still want to know if Elsa's own trauma and abuse didn't factor in Dren's nurture, how didn't her/his nature would've differ.

Am I the only one who felt sorry for Dren when she was being abused on multiple levels by Elsa?
And did the guy from the pianist fall for Dren because she tempted him with somekind of pheromone? Or was it simply because he saw Elsa in her and just couldn't control himself? Seemed to me like he was under somekind of a spell or something.
Also, is Elsa essentisally carrying the child of an animal hybrid version of herself?
This movie is just cazy no matter how you look at it.

My brother said it's "Species for the 2000's." I saw this film like 10 times and it's both disturbing, yet at the same time, very impressive.

A highly underrated film. With a very disturbing ending and epilogue.
I get why the director didn't want to taint the film with a sequel that is out of his hands, but dang... I would love to see a followup with this one...especially with that open cliffhanger ending.

I like Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley. They both had a bit of a, "hot streak, " there between like 2005 and 2015, (or something like that, ) with Brody in The Village, The Jacket, and Predators, and Sarah Polley in Splice and Dawn of the Dead, etc.

They were among my favorites there, for a minute. 👍
