Unless I missed it you might want to mention that all these models use class D amplification. Saves heat, size and weight.

Ealan, Do not forget the included microphone with the new Sony AVRs is biurnal, just like himan ears and actuslly has s left and a right spaced apart, and during auto valibration IX it has two recordings to help build out the 3D audio bubble, maybe this is why Sonys room correction is so innovative.

I think the mic thing is just because iphones are fairly standard on each model. While androids have a few different vendors and tuning

Great review and another good option in the market, if they just included full pre-outs, it would be a shining 🌟. Let’s see how they sound. Being JBL I have high expectations. Not long ago bought a new Flip 6, that little speaker sound is quite good.

JBL was in the receiver and multichannel amplifier world years ago when I was getting started. The PA 5800 was a 80 watt 5 channel amplifier that was under $1, 000 in 1995.

The microphone of Android is not worse, but there are too many different devices to support them all while Apple only have a few (or maybe even the sam microphone inside).

All I saw are the affiliate bookmarks at the top of the browser.. 😅🙃 Might want to hide those or up to you of course ... (ctrl+shift+B does the trick in chrome) I do wonder though… I have a Denon 5.2.2 AVR and it sounded great until I learned about DACS and my 2 channel audio system sounds HiFi now and blows my AVR out of the water in clarity, detail and dynamics, but not surround of course. Do I need a surround processor instead of AVR if I want that type of sound quality out of my 5.1.2 setup? Thx Elan!

Hi Ealan, I read on a previous video you use to had the Onkyo TX-NR787 which I own since January 2019 and to me sounds great, would you say TX RZ50 with dirac would make a day and night upgrade for 2.1 music listening? I use Tidal Windows PC APP with two Energy RC70 speakers and one 15 in HSU sealed subwoofer for music although my full setup is 5.1.4 for movies.

I like the forward thinking design. But I don't see how these are anywhere near competitive against Marantz Cinema series that have even better design, which are class AB, have pre outs, 4 sub outs and are cheaper!
These JBL's look like toys compared to Marantz, especially with so much plastic parts and class D amps! They need to lower prices by a lot. Unless they think their consumers are morons, which judging by the stupid ass ad they released wouldn't surprise me, if they actually think that way. 😂

At first glance just looking at the spec sheet they’re pretty underwhelming. The top of the line model has no pre outs other than for 2 subs and is DIRAC “ready”. The Onkyo RZ50 pretty much smokes it at $400-500. less. What a deal.

Saw the MA310 pop up recently in the UK. Sadly it costs £499 here ($645) which is typical. The AVR market here is whack. The JBL in white does look gorgeous though.
