At the time "I'm Getting Better" was at #66 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, four weeks earlier it peaked at #37 {for 1 week} and it spent ten weeks on the Top 100...
"I'm Getting Better" reached #3 on Billboard's Hot Country Singles chart...
Between 1953 and 1966 the Galloway, Texas native had twenty-five records on the Top 100 chart, one made the Top 10, "He'll Have To Go"*, it peaked at #2 {for 3 weeks} in March of 1960...
He came close to having a second Top 10 record when his, "Four Walls", peaked at #12 in 1957...
James Travis Reeves passed away at the young age of 40 on July 31st, 1964 {a victim of a plane crash}...

* For the three weeks "He'll Have To Go" was at #2, the #1 record for those three weeks was "The Theme from 'A Summer Place'" by Percy Faith and his Orchestra...
