I just lost my claim do to Diversity of Jurisdiction I wish I would had find you early I was going after two corporation and a few employees and the federal Government. My problem was I was unable to show Diversity Jurisdiction even though the defendants were for 6 different states am from a difference state but everything happen in New York there I had 5 defendants.

Are there any cases in which a federal court has original or subject-matter jurisdiction over a lawsuit without diversity and without a federal question being raised. Suppose a state claim were raised in such a case where there isn't diversity and there isn't a federal question raised, is there a third way for there to be subject-matter jurisdiction such that the state claim could be heard in through a federal courts authority to have supplemental jurisdiction over those claims. It seems like many outlines and textbooks leave that door open but don't supply an example. It would seem that the only two hooks (if you will) to hang one's hat on for subject-matter jurisdiction are through diversity or by raising a federal question.
