This is why I don't put a lot of faith in recruiting rankings. The last 5 years the the lowest ranked Husker class was 29th. Yet where are we at, 4 losing seasons and 1 .500 season, as it stands now. Player development and coaching is where it's at.

Couple more names to keep on the radar

1) James Scott - WR from Oak Ridge HS in Conroe TX. Next year's Terry Shelton. Tall lanky and has the potential to rise if he stays healthy and has a good senior year. Already rated an 87 on rivals.

2) Claude Mpouma - OT. New to the United States but a freak athlete. Moves very well for his size. 6ft7 305, stays in Chicago. Already a blue chipper, and we have some momentum going for us. Industry 4 star on On3. Visited for Wisconsin game

3) Kelvin Obot - OL. #1 recruit in Idaho via On3 Industry. 6ft5 265. On3 Industry 4 star and will be a blue chipper. Decent amount of momentum with him. Visited for Wisconsin game.

4) Jax Turner - Interior OL. Future blue chipper, also in Idaho. 88 rated on 247 but is due for a bump after winter film reviews by recruiting services.

5) Jesse Ford - EDGE rusher. Blue chip 4 star, and recently made his top 8. Went to the same school as Bob Wager. Plans to visit.

Ummm, nebraska lost a lot of talent to the portal yet it is a great place to play. Makes little sense. There's problems in that locker room and until that gets resolved this program will continue to be on auto pilot, same results every season. Makes zero difference how much talent you have.
